Event Details

This talk will explore the contributions of women in the visual arts. It is a broad look at different times throughout history beginning at a time when women were not considered smart enough or taken seriously as artists, were denied access to formal art training and were relegated to the arts of “women’s crafts” such as pottery, sewing and needlework, through to contemporary artists who look at the world through a feminist lens.
