In honor of Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month, Farmington Community Library is pleased to introduce Dr. Arifa Javed, a sociologist and a documentary film maker. Dr. Javed writes and produces documentaries on Asian Indians. The Season in the mist describes a religious group among Indian immigrants with a mistaken identity. The film depicts who they are in terms of their religion and culture and provides a complete picture of them as Sikh Americans.
This is also a film made in Michigan that talks about the growing diversity in America and the contributions Sikhs have made to American society.

This event is generously sponsored by the Friends of Farmington Community Library.
